Wall Behind the TV Inspiration

Bam! Option #2 for the wall behind the TV is now up this place

As promised, I’m sharing some of the inspiration rooms that I found around the Web. Hopefully some elements from these rooms will help solve my dilemma about what to do with the wall behind the TV in my living room. I tried to find rooms where the TV used a stand and was not wall mounted. Let me know what you think.

This inspiration room feels so light and airy with the white walls. While the plant and statues provide anchors, the painted table turned TV stand prevents it from being weighed down and the large portraits float toward the ceiling.

This black and white gallery wall is very organic and the sprawling frame arrangement lends to a a free flowing ameoba shape that balances the offset flat screen TV.

I love the neutral pallet of this gray gallery wall behind the TV. The frames in various shapes and textures also keep it visually interesting. Here, the TV here functions as piece in the gallery.

These glossy black frames around black and white photographs echo the glossy frames of the flat screen TV, again, making it part of the display. The television becomes an ever changing work of art.

I think this looks good, but the functionality isn’t there. MY eyes would want to keep wandering over the pictures and woudl lose concentration on the tv part. May be a distraction? Looks good though – but I like the idea you had with the rectangles better. More subtle and when you watch tv, you won’t be wondering “what’s in that picture”.

More updates to come. There still hasn’t been any real progress with anything attached to the wall.
