To make: album wall

Everyone and I mean everyone should have an album wall. Music art is a fantastic visual representation of sound. Plus, you can switch it up. This is what mine currently looks like.

And here it is from an angle.

Raleigh designer JT Moore has a pretty nifty one at his place too. He used a 2 x 5 pattern. You can see it his take on it from these photos from the left and from the right.

And if I ever have a long hallway, I’m going to hang them 2 x 2 all the way down. (Maybe I’ll even try to do a Noah’s arc theme. You never know.) I do have all this album art laying around just waiting for the right wall space.

So there you have it – Interchangeable, often dramatic art. Cover your walls on the (relatively) cheap or even make a headboard out of them. You can pick up album frames for about $10 each at your local Michael’s or A.C. Moore craft store.

Excellent idea! I have seen tote bags created out of album covers as well. Love the new section of your website!

Where does one purchase album art?

Thanks for checking it out, Janet!

You can purchase vinyl from record stores. Second hand stores and Habitat for Humanity Re-stores can be a treasure trove. Last fall I found a great selection at WXDU's Annual Record Sale at Duke University.
