celebrate new job real joy

Life is full of do-overs and new beginnings.  You can’t get too settled. It’s much easier to change and adapt to your new circumstances. And so I welcome you to my new website.

This said, there’s some offline news to share.

First off…Mum! I got a job. That’s right, a J-O-B. A full-time one with good benefits, at that. It’s been a long time coming, but I’m so excited and couldn’t be more thrilled to be working at Bandwidth.com as their new Marketing Manager.  I get to work with the likes of Chris Moody, Todd Barr and the infamous snarky Phonebooth whom we all have come to love (especially when he’s that suspicious looking fellow in the background of all the event pictures). I am pleased to be joining a team of such accomplished and knowledgeable professionals. I look forward helping the company with day-to-day marketing activities and hope to learn a great deal from my new colleagues. Thank you to everyone (you know who you are) that helped along the way. I wouldn’t be here without your belief in me.

And, in other news…I moved! I’m back up in the Triangle area of North Carolina. Having grown up in The Pines and graduated from UNC, so I am no stranger to the area. I am certainly glad my days of couch surfing are over. It’s so nice to say that I am officially a Durhamite. As such, I intend to explore all the nooks and crannies of this fabulous city. Hopefully this will help prevent me from getting lost while driving in Durham.

But wait, there’s more! I am flying solo and doing my own thing. It is amazing how much of yourself can get lost in the mix. I am ready for my epic adventure, and I’ve already made progress in selectively recovering some of the better parts of my former self.

Not to sound self-centered or conceited, but I am focused and concentrating on being true to my self and my own well-being. I want to see where the world takes me.  So, from here on out there will be no partial façade, no unwarranted passing on opportunities and certainly no holding back my personality because it overwhelms your personality. I sincerely apologize if you are put off by this idea. But. Live with it. Roll with it.

Cheers,

G
